Christians Which Will You Chose?

All over this country media people, entertainers, business owners, politicians, judges, athletes, clergy, parents, and even children are under continually increasing pressure, attacks, and abuse for standing for what used to be considered “normal” American Values.

The latest case of the FBI “raid” on President Trump’s residence in Florida. I firmly believe that if Donald Trump had not insisted on standing for what many people call Christian values as President, and hinting that he will run again, and continue that fight; this incident would not have happened. Unfortunately, he is not alone in being attacked by government authorities for standing up for those values.

Jesus told us this would happen. In the Gospel of John, Jesus predicted “If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you. If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. Because you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world- therefore the world hates you. Remember the word I said to you ‘servants are not greater than their master”. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also. But they will do these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know Him who sent me.” (John 15: 18-21 NRSV)

We, as Christians, have two choices. We can hide in our church buildings and keep our faith in a closet at home, or we can choose to be the Light of Jesus in the world today. Far too many of us have done the former for far too long. It has led us to the place we see today.

I say it is high time we pick the second option. I say this knowing full well the cost that may be asked. But, I also know that Scripture says God prefers hot or cold and spits out the lukewarm. (See Rev. 3: 15) I want to be part of God’s team, not the world’s. I have read the whole story, and I know that in the end God wins. I also know that the price, for those who choose His side is going to be high. But the reward is priceless- Life ever-after with the Father.

If we want this country to return to the values it was founded on, it is time for the church to stand up for its faith in public.

We need believers to go to school board meetings and say you will not harm our children with the garbage that is being spread through indoctrination like CRT. And if they won’t listen some of us may need to run for school board positions. We need to go to city council meetings, county commission meetings, political party meetings, state legislature hearings, and be active in communicating with our federal elected representatives and senators. If those folks will not do what is right in the eyes of the Lord, then we need to find believers who will. And above all we need to vote in ALL elections for those we have verified are followers of Jesus Christ, not just those who say they are.
